Aries Caces solo recital

Vienna-based pianist and conductor Aries Caces performs a program comprising Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor “Appassionata”, Haydn’s Piano Sonata No. 50, Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantasie, Bernardino Custodio’s Pauli-uli and Schubert’s Fantasy in C major.

Aries Caces was chosen as one of the country’s Youth Leaders for 2008 by Philippines Graphic Magazine, which cited his achievements in the world of classical music. A milestone in his long list of accomplishments is his performance of the five Piano Concertos of Beethoven, in which he functioned both as piano soloist and conductor of the UST Symphony Orchestra.

The Center for Positive Futures (CPF), a private school for the less privileged in the municipalities of San Mateo, Rodriguez (formerly Montalban) and Pasig City presents Angelo Rondello in concert. Rondello is a performer and teacher who has performed extensively throughout the United States. For this particular event, he will be accompanied by the UST Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vienna-based Filipino conductor, Aries Caces.

Concert proceeds will primarily benefit The Learning for Living Foundation, a foundation for young children of economically disadvantaged families in Montalban.

MSO: Symphonic Virtuosity

Symphonic Virtuosity is the third offering of the Manila Symphony Orchestra 2009 concert series. The concert showcases the orchestra under the baton of internationally-renowned German guest-conductor Professor Christoph Poppen. Guest soloist is Filipino violinist Diomedes Saraza Jr.

He directs the MSO in Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C-minor. Diomedes Saraza Jr. will perform Nicolo Paganini’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in D.

FILFEST Cultural Foundation sets out to inspire, educate and delight Metro South with a second season of performances. The FILFest Festival Orchestra performs under Agripino Diestro.
