This Christmas, DZFE again partners with Focus on the Family Radio Theater to present an award-winning radio adaptation of a classic from CS Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia.
Following presentations of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in past years, we come to The Silver Chair, which reunites listeners with the boy Eustace, now a changed person after the ordeals of Dawn Treader. With his new friend, Jill Pole, they are drawn (or called) into Narnia to accomplish a special quest — to seek and free the ensorcelled son of Caspian X, Prince Rilian. Their guide is the singularly pessimistic Marsh-wiggle Puddleglum.
Dramatized and directed by Paul McCusker, The Silver Chair features a large cast of voices headed by Paul Scofield (narrator), David Suchet (Aslan), Ron Moody (Puddleglum), Steven Webb (Eustace), Jade Williams (Jill Pole), and Jamie Glover (Prince Rilian).
The Silver Chair airs in four cycles on 98.7 DZFE from 24 November 2015 to 2 January 2016.
Cycle 1 Nov 24-Dec 4 | M-F 1930-2000
Cycle 2 Nov 29-Dec 27 | Sn 1200-1300
Cycle 3 Dec 5-Jan 2 | St 800-900
