Joanna Go’s next series on OPERAPHILE (Sat 1900, Wed 000) tracks the evolving roles of ghosts in opera, following five specters through works by Mozart, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Korngold and Britten. Starting September 22, OPERAphile features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni (1787), Richard Wagner’s Die fliegende Holländer (1843), P.I. Tchaikovsky’s Pique Dame (1890), Erich Wolfgang Korngold’s Die tote Stadt (1920) and Benjamin Britten’s Turn of the Screw (1954).
