Heaven and our Eternal Hope

If you ask people today what happens when one dies, you’re likely to get a lot of different answers. You’re also likely to discover that the traditional Christian belief concerning heaven and hell is now a minority position. Theologian Michael Horton states, “The Bible doesn’t give us as many details about heaven as you might expect, but one thing is clear from the very beginning to the very end of the story. The goal of human existence is communion with the triune God forever. And that’s going to be our focus as we unpack both the cultural challenges to belief in heaven and the biblical passages that help give us a richer understanding than we find in our popular culture.” The theology program WHITE HORSE INN (Sun 830, Tue 1430, Sat 200) embarks on a series on heaven and our eternal hope.
