It’s a playdate!

Posted on Dec 9, 2022

December 11 is National Children’s Broadcasting Day, and we have a few musical treats in store for our young listeners!

Andre Kostelanetz’s orchestration of pieces from Tchaikovsky’s Children’s Album, together with lighthearted verse by Ogden Nash narrated by Sir Peter Ustinov come together as Between Birthdays, the highlight of our hour-long children’s program Playdate! (Dec 11, Sun 1100). Also on the show are Bernard Rogers’ Five Fairy Tales and Nilo Alcala’s music based on Maguindanao chant. DZFE’s Dawn presents.

Stay on for the next episode of Focus on the Family Radio Theatre’s thrilling production of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist at noon.

Later on in the evening (Dec 11, Sun 2030) on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons Rediscovered, Apollo’s Fire and Jeannette Sorrell team up with Spanish violin virtuoso Francisco Fullana and his 1735 Guarneri violin for a joyous romp through the baroque countryside, cast as a spectacle of music and storytelling.
