David Jerome Johnson, Manila-based flutist and co-founder of the Clarion Chamber Ensemble, presented Chamber Music in Progress for ten years before his passing in January 2020. This radio series, hosted by Elliott Forrest, features live recorded performances by leading chamber music players from around the world. Wander the vast collection of Henry Fogel in this series, which he says, “presents a wide range of recordings that I feel are true classics of the industry. Recordings to be included will feature either unusual repertoire that I feel deserves a wider public, or performances unique in their interpretive profile, sense of commitment, and intensity.” Fogel is currently Dean of the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. His almost fifty years in music administration have included stints as President and CEO of the League of American Orchestras and President of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also been program director and vice president of classical music radio station WONO in New York.
