The cultural Center of the Philippines, in cooperation with the Chen Family and Chinese Artists’ Guild, presents a memorial exhibit of works by “The Father of Chinese Painting in the Philippines”, Chen Bing Sun. The exhibit, entitled His Legacy, Our Heritage. Chen Bing Sun settled in the Philippines in 1947 and led an active career as a painter and teacher until his death in 1988. He founded the Chinese Artists’ Guild in 1958. Major exhibits of his work have been held here, in Japan and in the United States. Retrospective Exhibits were held in 1977 (CCP) and in 1987 (Metropolitan Museum of Manila).
