The Manila Chamber Orchestra Foundation opens its 2014 Young Artists’ Series with a concert featuring US-based violinist Bradley Bascon. For his first Philippine recital, he performs works by Wieniawski, Kreisler, Saint-Saëns, Mozart, and Monti; Juilliard alumus Rudolf Golez joins him on the piano.
Gascon was a member of the Claremont Young Musicians Orchestra and has participated in music festivals in Schleissheim, Germany; Salzburg, Austria; and Norcia, Italy. He was soloist for the Irvine Classical Players Orchestra’s concert series in Spain and Portugal; he has also performed with the ensemble at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and at Hyde Park in London. Gascon will be the sole Philippine representative in the upcoming Beijing Violin Competition in August.
