What is Reformed Theology?

Posted on Sep 2, 2021

In a time when the importance of theology is expeditiously disappearing in the modern world and even in the life of the church, there is a great need to know the historical foundations of the Reformed faith. In this Renewing Your Mind teaching series from Ligonier Ministries, Dr. R.C. Sproul unpacks how the Reformed belief is focused on God, and why all knowledge must be subsumed under this viewpoint.

“Reformed theology is committed to Christianity as a revealed faith, a faith that rests not on human insight but on information that comes to us from God himself.”
― R.C. Sproul, What is Reformed Theology?: Understanding the Basics

In twelve episodes, WHAT IS REFORMED THEOLOGY? (Sun 2000, Wed 1200, Fri 230) lays out the most fundamental ideas of the Reformed doctrine. It embarks on discussions about the difference between religion and theology, the distinction between different theologies, and the importance of a worldview that is centered on God. This also necessitates a clear understanding and comprehension of the true God through the revelation of Scripture.
